Kanan has a law degree from the London School of Economics. Her passion towards developing innovative solutions to create legal awareness drove Kanan to start Lawtoons a unique platform to illustrate laws through comics, which became one of the first succesful crowdfunding project in India in the field of law. Kanan has been the founder of the think tank on legal reforms and has been associated with organisations such as the National Knowledge Commission, McKinsey & Co as well as the World Economic Forum.
